1. Am I eligible for NISM Mutual Fund Distributors e-CPE Program?

If you hold any of the following certificates:

(a) NISM Series V (a): Mutual Fund Distributors Certificate Examination

(b) NISM Series V (a): Mutual Fund Distributors Continuing Professional Education

(c) AMFI Mutual Fund (Advisors) Module

(d) IICM: Refresher Course on Mutual Funds

(e) CIEL: Refresher Course on Mutual Funds

and where the validity of such certificate has not expired, you are eligible to attend the NISM Mutual Fund Distributors e-CPE Program. However, you cannot attend a e-CPE Program under the General Category, twelve months prior to the date of expiry of such certificate (ie.,) you can attend the e-CPE Program only in the final year of your certificate validity period.

Also, if you hold a valid ARN Card, whether or not holding any of the above mentioned certificates, you are eligible to attend the NISM Mutual Fund Dustributors e-CPE Program under the General Category, twelve months prior to the date of expiry of the ARN Card.

Further, if you have completed 50 years of age or have worked for 10 years or more as a distributor, agent or employed or engaged in the sale and/or distribution of Mutual Fund products, as onMay 31, 2010you are eligible to attend the NISM Mutual Fund Distributors e-CPE Program under the Grandfathered category. 

2. When should I register for a e-CPE Program?

Since e-CPE – Mutual Fund Distributors module is being offered from NISM’s Vashi test Centre on Saturdays, on pilot basis, there are limited seats for every e-CPE Program. You are advised to avail the opportunity of registering early so as to secure a seat. We suggest that you register at least six months prior to the expiry of your certificate in order to ensure that you get a seat in your preferred location. Requests for registration received closer to the expiry of the certificate may not be successful.

  2. Presently, NISM is offering e CPE for Mutual fund Distributors program on pilot basis only from NISM’s Vashi test Centre, on Saturdays only. Over a period of time, NISM may offer e CPE programs from test centres at different locations.
    1. Admit card
    2. PAN Card (Original + Photocopy)
    3. One recent Passport-size Photographs
    4. Documents mentioned under Eligibility Criteria and Requirements for e- CPE  program (whichever applicable)

Candidate willing to attend a e-CPE Program for Mutual Fund Distributor may approach NISM with a duly filled e-CPE Registration Form.

10. I have lost my certificate. How can I appear for NISM e-CPE Program?

If you produce a clear photocopy where the photo on the certificate can be verified properly, you may be allowed to appear for the e-CPE Program. If you do not have a good photocopy, please apply with the original issuing authority for issue of duplicate certificate. Please note that NISM can issue duplicate certificates only if the original certificate was issued by NISM. Once you receive the duplicate certificate, you can submit the documents by email.

11. When do I get my certificate?

After NISM verifies the authenticity of the documents submitted by the participants, your certificate will be sent in electronic format only, to the email id provided in the Registration form. You are expected to receive the certificate in about 15 working days from the date of the e- CPE Program. However, there may be delays due to technical reasons, if any.
