training programme on econometric

Objective of the Programme

The objective of the course is to impart training in statistics and econometrics for carrying out robust quantitative analysis. The course will consist of two modules, one focused on cross section analysis and the other on time series analysis. The course will also emphasize application and implementation. To this extent, the usefulness of the quantitative techniques will be illustrated using real world examples and its implementation will be demonstrated using relevant software programs. To facilitate understanding, there will be practice problems and quizzes. It is hoped that at the end of the course, participants should be able to carry out robust empirical analysis to address applied problems.
