NISM invites applications for the post of Academic Associate. The last date for seeking application is 12th December 2016.

The following are the pre-requisites:

Maximum Age (as on 31-October -2016):35 years. 


Post-graduate with first class (Communication, Economics, Mathematics & Statistics, Finance & Accounts, Humanities, Organization Behaviour, Marketing, Operations Management & Quantitative Techniques, and Strategic Management etc.) with minimum 1 year experience in academics or industry or an M. Phil. or higher is qualified to apply.

Applicants with fresh Ph.Ds with or without experience may also apply for this position.

Candidates with qualifications B.Tech/B.E (OM and QT) with minimum 1 year experience will also be eligible to apply.

Functions and Responsibilities:

The Academic Associates are responsible for functions in various Schools/Departments of the Institute. Areas of responsibility would largely depend on the place of posting/deployment:

Academic functions: Academic Associates (AAs) shall assist the faculty in the teaching related activities and research such as preparing course outline, identifying and collecting data/reading material, developing teaching notes, grading of class participation, grading of quizzes, examination/test invigilation, assignments, maintenance of student attendance records, addressing students’ queries/questions, coordination with visiting/guest faculty and with administrative support functions. AAs are also expected to perform similar functions in relation to conduct of Management Development Programmes offered by the Institute.

Test Administration Functions: Invigilation/inspection and monitoring of various online certification examinations/continuing professional education programmes at various centers of the Institute across the country.

National Center for Finance Education (NCFE) functions: To assist in development of content on financial education/literacy, to assist in conduct of National Financial Literacy Assessment Test (NFLAT), to assist in coordinating meetings of core committee of NCFE, to assist in Financial Literacy, Inclusion Survey and day to day activities of NCFE etc.

Content development function:To assist in the development/review of the NISM Certification Examinations which involves examination analysis, development/review of Curricula, Test Objectives, Workbook, Question banks etc. Assist in the development/review of the NISM CPE Programs which includes development/review of learning objectives, session plans, Candidate’s handout, Presentation, etc. Independently manage the development/ maintenance of NISM certification exams/ CPE Programs in specialized subject areas. Perform knowledge management and research as required. Assist in the process of Accreditation and in conducting quality audits etc.  Assist in any other activities of the SCI Examination development team.

General Function:  To assist in the various activities at departments like Marketing and Communication, HR, Knowledge Management, Finance and Accounts, IT, General Service Department etc at NISM.


Stipend would be in the range of Rs. 20,000/- to 30,000/- per month depending on qualification, experience, merit and performance in the interview/test.

Reimbursement of expenses upto Rs. 10,000/- every year towards purchase of books, computers and its accessories.

Academic Associates are also encouraged to do research and the Institute facilitates AAs participation/attendance of national conferences etc. at least once a year. 


Academic Associates positions are contractual, initially for a period of two years. On completion of two years, the aforesaid Academic Associate shall be considered by the Selection panel of NISM for the post of Assistant Manager on renewable contract of five years subject to performance, suitability and availability of vacancy at NISM.
