Refund & Reschedule Policy:
The Refund and Reschedule policy for remote proctored examinations and test center based examinations are the same and is available on NISM Certification portal.


Privacy Policy:
By enrolling for online Remote Proctored Examinations, the candidate agrees to provide the necessary permissions to remotely proctor the candidate's conduct during the examination using webcam and microphone. Candidates not providing the necessary permission to their webcam and / or microphone will not be allowed to take the examination. Candidate's performance / conduct during the online Remote Proctored Examination will be monitored by NISM either throughout the duration of the examination or in part thereof, using video / snapshots and/or microphone feed. The audio-visuals and other information so obtained will be stored by NISM on its server and/or a third-party hosting service provider and/or its supplier/s. The content will be retained by NISM on such servers for a period of at least six months from the date of the examination. The proctoring information in the form of audio-visuals will form part of the candidate’s evaluation process before issuance of any certificate. NISM may reject issuance of certificate / cancel an issued certificate and/or take appropriate action based on the proctoring observations.

 

Policy on Unfair Means, Cheating, Forgery, Impersonation, etc."
The following act/s shall be deemed as Cheating or act of using unfair means:


• Providing incorrect information / documents to NISM.
• Gaining access to test questions before the examination or aiding someone else to do so.
• Communicating with and / or disturbing other candidates or consulting other persons inside/outside the examination room during the examination.
• Being in possession of books, notes, typed sheets or any other material connected or not connected with the examination
• Carrying and/or using the electronic/photographic/communication devices/equipments that are prohibited during the examinations including but not limited to mobile phones, laptops, tablet PCs, cameras, headphones, pen-drives, bluetooth devices etc.
• Taking breaks to move out of your seat.
• Threatening or physically or verbally abusing or indulging in any kind of misbehaviour with Proctor / fellow candidates or any person connected with the conduct of examination either inside or outside the examination room.
• Using abusive or obscene language/symbols through any means within the premises of the Test environment.
• Disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing, or facilitating transmission, theft and storage of the contents of the Question bank/corresponding answers of NISM Certification examination or any information therein in whole or part thereof in any form or by any means, verbal or written (e.g.: smuggling rough sheet out of examination room), electronically or mechanically for any purpose. Such activities shall be deemed as question bank theft.
• Pestering the Proctor for issues including but not limited to extra time allotment, allowing to sit for examination in absence of necessary id proofs/documents etc. even if the approver / Proctor has withheld the request at first instance.
• Carrying and/or consuming food and/or carrying/consuming alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages etc. excluding drinking water or entering the Test Centre in an inebriated/intoxicated state inside the examination hall.
• Carrying and/or using weapons/scissor/knife etc. inside the examination room.
• Receiving or giving assistance to the fellow candidates or others directly or indirectly or involvement in copying in any form including but not limited to looking into any other workstation different from the allotted one during the course of examination.
• Receiving any outside help in any form.
• Indulging in group copying/making sounds/unsolicited gestures to hint at answers etc. during the course of examination.

 

Following Disciplinary actions will be implemented with immediate effect in case of Candidate/s caught adopting any of the aforementioned act/s of Cheating and / or unfair means during the course of examination:
• Candidate/s found adopting any of above acts of cheating / unfair means may or may not be issued a Prohibitive-Warning.
• Such Candidate/s identity and communication details shall be noted down by Proctor/s.
• If a candidate/s had passed such examination, the certificate/s shall not be issued against such examination.
• Any Request for reappearing or refund of fees shall not be entertained against the respective enrolment/s.
• In regard to all examination related activities, the Proctor/s decision shall be final and binding.
• In case of any violations, candidate’s examination shall be terminated and/or the candidates score shall be cancelled and/or candidate shall be liable for serious disciplinary action including debarment for future examinations upto a period of 3 years. Further, NISM may report the violation to the Capital Market Regulator and/or Candidate’s Employer and/or Stock Exchanges and/or Industry bodies.

 

The following act/s shall be deemed as Impersonation:

• Appearing for examination for another candidate or arranging to have another person take an examination for the candidate.
• Allowing/Making somebody else to write answers on candidate’s behalf during examination
• Helping or receiving help from others to impersonate.
• Moving onto another workstation during the course of examination

 

Following Disciplinary actions will be taken with immediate effect in case of Candidate/s caught adopting any of the aforementioned act/s of Impersonation during the course of examination:

• If a candidate/s is caught guilty of any of above acts of impersonation, examination of the candidate/s shall be terminated immediately and outcome of such examination shall be cancelled.
• Such Candidate’s identity and communication details shall be noted down by Proctor/s
• Impersonation is a cognizable offence and strictest disciplinary action shall be taken to punish the candidate/s caught guilty as considered suitable by NISM including but not limited to filing an FIR (First Information Report) with the local police authorities.
• The candidate/s shall be debarred from appearing from any, some or all of NISM Certification Examinations for a period of 3 years or more as applicable which NISM finds suitable in its disciplinary action pursuant to the investigation report. The final decision of NISM shall be final and binding.
• If a candidate/s had passed such examination, the certificate/s shall not be issued against such examination.
• Any Request for reappearing or refund of fees shall not be entertained against the respective enrolment/s.
• In regard to all examination related activities, based on the feedback received from the Proctor, decision of NISM shall be final and binding.

 

 The following act/s shall be deemed as Forgery:
• Any document or part thereof pertaining to NISM Certification Examinations including but not limited to identity proof of candidate/s, admit card/s, score card, photograph etc. is altered using any of the methods of forgery including but not limited to handwriting, printing, engraving, typewriting etc. and/or such document is produced with intent to defraud.
• Any document or part thereof pertaining to NISM Certification Examinations including but not limited to identity proof of candidate/s, admit card/s, score card, photograph etc. is materially different from the records available with NISM.
• Any other act which is similar in nature and may be deemed as act of forgery by NISM.

 

Following Disciplinary actions will be implemented with immediate effect in case of Candidate/s caught adopting any of the aforementioned act/s of Forgery during the course of examination. If a candidate/s is caught guilty of any of above acts of forgery, the examination of such candidate/s shall be terminated immediately and the outcome of the examinations shall be cancelled.
• Such Candidate/s identity and communication details shall be noted down by Proctor/s.
• Forgery is a cognizable offence and strictest disciplinary action shall be taken to punish the candidate/s caught guilty as considered suitable by NISM including but not limited to filing an FIR (First Information Report) with the local police authorities.
• The candidate/s shall be debarred from appearing from any, some or all of NISM Certification Examinations for a period of 3 years or more as applicable which NISM finds suitable in its disciplinary action pursuant to the investigation report. The final decision of NISM shall be final and binding.
• If a candidate/s had passed such examination, the certificate/s shall not be issued against such examination.
