The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

National Institute of Securities MarketsNotificationNISM/Certification/Series-I: CD/2009/2 dated May 12, 2009 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-regulation (3) of regulation (7) of SEBI (Certification of Associated Persons in Securities Markets) Regulations 2007, National Institute of Securities Markets in consultation with the Securities and Exchange Board of India hereby notifies that approved users and sales personnel of trading members of currency derivatives segments of recognised stock exchanges who have passed the FEDAI-NSE Currency Futures (Basic) Module offered by National Stock Exchange till May 14, 2009, shall be deemed to have obtained the requisite standards as notified in NISM/Certification/Series-I: CD/2009/1 dated May 11, 2009
