The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

The Workshop on ‘Forensic Accounting‘ was held during August 19-12, 2015 at NISM Bhavan, Navi Mumbai for the benefit of SEBI Officers. The prime objective of workshop was to develop an insight on forensic accounting and its role in today’s businessenvironment; to demonstrate an array of accounting manipulationcommitted in the corporate management, and how to manage such scenario.

The programme got inaugurated in the hands on Shri Sandip Ghose, Director, NISM.

The topics discussed in the workshop includes; Introduction to forensic accounting, Dissemination of Fraud Triangle, Financial products and services that are amenable to fraud, Forensic Accounting Techniques, Fraud investigation and resolution and Law relating to Electronic evidence.

The Speakers were the persons of eminence including Senior Professionals having expertise in Forensic Accounting Cases & Techniques and officers of SEBI deputed at NISM.
