The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

February 26, 2018 – March 26, 2018 | NISM Campus, Patalganga

NISM had organized a 4-weeks Residential Training Programme on ‘An Overview of Indian Securities Markets’ for officers of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission from February 26, 2018 to March 26, 2018 at NISM Campus, Patalganga.

The prime objective of the programme was to expose participants to the functioning of Indian Securities Markets. The programme also aimed at updating the participants with the recent development and regulation in the Indian Securities market.

As part of field/exposure visit, participants had visited SEBI, NSE, BSE and MCX. They also had hands on Experience of Trading on Stock Exchange – Live through Simulation Lab at NISM in simulated environment.

The Faculties for the programme were drawn from NISM faculties, Senior officials of SEBI & officials of stock exchanges, and experts from financial markets.

The valedictory was done by Shri Sandip Ghose, Director, NISM. All the officers were given Certificate of Participation.
