The Workshop on ‘Role of Compliance Officers of Listed Companies’ was held during August 26-27, 2016 in association with National Foundation for Corporate Governance (NFCG) and Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) at NISM Bhavan, Navi Mumbai for the benefit of compliance officersof the listed companies and professionals.

The main objective of the program was to understand and appreciate the ongoing updates in Corporate Laws and Securities Laws which are applicable for listed companies in letter and spirit and discuss the challenges faced by the compliance officers.

The topics/areas discussed in the programincludes-

  • Role of Compliance officers in securities market

  • Companies Act 2013 and Company Amendments Bill 2016

  • New Issuance of securities and listing compliance

  • Takeover and acquisition of shares

  • Key takeaways of SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading Regulations) along with case studies

  • Experience sharing by stock exchange’scompliance department and industry perspective on the securities laws

The Speakers were persons of eminence including Senior Professionals from regulators, stock exchange,consultants,practitioners and industry.
