The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

Introduction

The NISM’s Masterclass series is the initiative that brings out, through interactions with the senior market experts in the Indian securities market, their philosophy on investment, their advice to the investors, their views on the transformation of Indian securities markets, recent trends and their implications, their journey, and experience in the Indian securities market. It is aimed at augmenting the knowledge base by recording the expertise and experience of these experts. Once prepared this will be shared in the public domain with free access to everyone.

The Masterclass series will feature eminent personalities from the Indian securities markets, including experts and thought leaders from mutual funds, brokerage houses, market infrastructure institutions, merchant bankers, foreign and domestic institutions, etc. who have witnessed and lived through the development of the market and contributed in shaping Indian securities markets.
