Shri M Krishnamoorthy, an Officer of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) joined NISM as a Member of Faculty in September 2017. He is currently the Programme Director of the School for Corporate Governance (SCG), which is playing a pioneer role in creating awareness in the listed corporate space about the corporate governance standardsthroughvarious tools and processes such as Workshops, Conferences and Research Papers for the main stakeholders namely the Board of Directors, more particularly the Women Directors and also the Compliance Offices of listed entities. His area of academic interests include Business Ethics, Corporate Governance, Behavioural Management and Leadership Theories.
Before joining NISM, Shri Krishnamoorthy has worked in different Departments and Offices of SEBI including the Integrated Surveillance Department, Corporate Finance Department, Market Regulation &Supervision Department and Bangalore Office of SEBI. During his stint in SEBI Bangalore Office, he was handling Financial Literacy & Awareness Programmes, Reddressal of Investor Grievances, Inspection of intermediaries and Collective Investment Schemes. Prior to joining SEBI, Shri Krishnamoorthy was working with Ministry of Law, Justice & Company Affairs, Government of India, for nearly six years.
Shri Krishnamoorthy has participated in various domestic and international Conferences including the APRC Mobile Seminary Training Program organized by IOSCO in Hong Kong. Shri Moorthy is Bachelor of Physics from Madurai Kamaraj University, Masters in Economics from Annamalai University and Masters in Financial Services Management from Mumbai University.
