Programme for the Officers of Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd

The School for Corporate Governance (SCG) of National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) conducted a two-day training programme for Officers of Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd October 01, 2021. 

Mr. S Shivakumar, Deputy General Manager- Finance, RCF Ltd welcomed the speakers and the participants. He briefly explained the importance of the theme of the programme and its importance in day to day work.

Dr V R Narasimhan, Dean, NISM, in his address outlined the importance of corporate governance for sustainability of companies in the long run.  He briefly explained the rationale behind corporate governance, i.e. ensuring welfare of all the stakeholders of the company especially the retail shareholders. The Dean was of the view that governance should be adhered to in both letter and spirit.

Mr. M Krishnamoorthy , Member of Faculty, NISM gave a detailed presentation on SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations (LODR) He enlightened the participants with the principles underlying the Regulation through live case studies.

Mr. Ritesh Nandwani, Member of Faculty, NISM explained the nitty-gritties of Fixed Income Securities which broadly includes bonds, features, structure, types etc. He also gave a comparative overview of FIS against Equity.

Mr. Ganesh Bhandari from RCF while summing up, complimented the efforts put by NISM for organising sessions on immense topical relevance. He profusely thanked all the speakers for patiently responding to the queries raised by the participants.

The programme was attended by around 60 officers of RCF Ltd and they benefitted from the deliberations.  The programme was well received by the participants and they expressed their wish to have more such practical sessions in future.
