Learning Hours and Access Period

This course has approximately 45 hours of learning content including videos, pdf content, module quizzes and assessments. To complete the course, you will be given access to the course content for 2 years from the date of your registration. If you are not able to complete the course within the access period of 2 years, you can re-register for the course and start from the beginning.

Examination, Re-examination, and Certificate

Once you have completed the course modules, with a minimum gap of 30 days between course registration and examination, you are eligible to register for an online-proctored examination. These examinations are conducted on quarterly basis (March, June, September, and December). The duration of the examination is 3 hours with MCQs based questions and no negative marking. A minimum of 60% is required to pass the examination. If you fail in the examination in your first attempt, you can re-attempt by paying the re-examination fee of Rs. 2000 plus applicable taxes. Exams can be taken any time within the license period of the content as per pre-defined schedule. After the expiry of the license period, the candidate can re-register for the programme. After successfully passing the examination, you will be able to download the course Certificate and digital badge.

1) What does the NISM & CRISIL certified wealth manager programme offer?
NCCWM programme goes beyond mere concepts to focus on business insights and challenges. Programme content is extremely interactive and exhaustive, covering the lifecycle of wealth management – financial planning, asset allocation, asset classes, investment products (with in-depth material on mutual funds and insurance products), investment analysis, portfolio reporting and fair business practices.

The certification is for financial services professionals, distributors of investment products, bankers, wealth managers, independent financial advisors, brokers, financial planners, investment advisors, insurance agents and those looking to expand their careers in the financial service business.

The financial services industry, especially wealth management, is very dynamic. Investor’s today look beyond transactional relationships to demand value-added services from wealth managers. 7) What is the license period for accessing the course?
Access to course content will be valid for two years from the date of purchase

8) Is the programme online-only?
The course is a completely self-paced online learning programme with human voice over, clickable interactivities, animations, additional reading material and knowledge checks to assess users. The modules can be bookmarked to enable quick access in the future.

9) What is the coverage of the course?
Topics covered include macroeconomics, Indian financial market and it’s participants, concepts of financial planning, tax planning, understanding asset classes and investment vehicles, analysing risk and return, mutual funds – key concepts and categories, overview of the mutual fund industry in India, insurance landscape and products and it’s taxation an claims, CRISIL mutual fund ranking and ULIP ranking, portfolio monitoring and client reporting and fair business practices.

10) How can I access the online learning modules?
Access to the e-learning topics will be provided through the NISM Elearning Platform. Once you log in to your account on the learning platform (https://estore.nism.ac.in/) with your user name and password, the NCCWM course will appear under your account. You can click on the course to access the online learning modules within the certification programme

11) How much time will it take to complete the NISM & CRISIL Certified Wealth Manager course?
All the modules within the course will require about 45 learning hours. They can be bookmarked to enable quick access in future.

12) How frequently is the content updated?
Course content is frequently updated to incorporate any new concept or change in industry practice or regulation. In addition, analysis of key events, articles and expert videos relevant for a wealth manager are frequently added to keep you updated on emerging trends and best practices in the wealth management space

13) Can I access the modules on my mobile/ tablet?
Yes, the modules can be accessed on mobiles/tablets, as these are responsive and adapt to your screen size. However, we recommend using a laptop or a large screen device for ease in learning and better knowledge retention.

14) Can I download the modules?
The modules are accessible online through the NISM E-learning Platform and cannot be downloaded.

15) What is the duration of each module?
The duration of a module ranges from 1 to 4 hours. However, study hours will vary for every individual. You need not complete a module at one go. Module content is auto-bookmarked and you may choose to pick up from where you left off the last time.

16) How many times can I access the modules?
The modules can be accessed online any number of times for two years from the date of enrolment.

17) Are any learning material printouts / books provided as part of course reading material?
No. However, there are resource documents within the modules for additional reading.

18) What is the exam schedule?
The exams are scheduled every quarter. The dates for the exam will be rolled out a month in advance and those wishing to take the exam have to make their payments at least 15 days before the exam date. The minimum study period for the course has to be one month – which means the gap between registration and exam period has to be one month. All the 18 course modules need to be completed before registering for the exam.

19) How will the exam be conducted and what will be the exam duration?
The exam will have multiple choice questions (MCQs) and multiple response questions (MRQs). The exam will be conducted online as well physical. The online exam will be proctored online through your laptop/desktop webcam. The exam duration will be three hours.

20) What if a candidate does not clear the exam?
The candidate will have to re-attempt the examination. The examination fee needs to be paid for every attempt.

21) How many attempts are allowed?
Exams can be taken any time within the license period of the content as per pre-defined schedule. After the expiry of the license period, the candidate can re-register for the programme.

22) What is the passing percentage?
60%.

23) Is there negative marking for wrong answers?
No.

24) What will be the format for exam scores?
Exam scores will be listed in percentages.

25) What is the eligibility criteria for the course?
A bachelor’s degree.

26) What are the renewal requirements for the certification programme?
• Continuing Education (CE): Candidates are required to obtain six points, i.e., complete six hours of online learning to renew their certification every three years
• Renewal fee: A renewal fee of Rs 3,000 will be levied for an online refresher course and certificate re-validation

27) Do I get placement opportunities/ support?
NISM or CRISIL do not provide active placement support. However, the course is designed to provide practical insights into various aspects of wealth management that can enhance career opportunities in areas such as investment research, advisory and relationship management. Also, both NISM & CRISIL have been conducting training programmes for organisations across the BFSI space for a number of years. This provides credence and acceptability to the NISM & CRISIL Certified Wealth Manager programme.

28) What is the cancellation policy?
Once registered for the course, there will be no cancellations.

29) Is there an age limit?
No.
