NISM INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR VARIOUS ADMINISTRATION POSITIONS

National Institute of Securities Markets (hereinafter referred to as the Institute or NISM) is an Institute established by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to build human resource capacity in the area of securities markets as well as across the financial sector. It is an autonomous public trust governed by its Board of Governors. Chairperson, SEBI is the ex-officio Chairperson of the Board of Governors.

NISM is involved in capacity building for the securities markets and conducts various capacity building activities including long- and short-term certification courses, mandatory certification of market intermediaries, Management Development Programs (MDPs), investor education and financial literacy programs and other related activities. It has significant industry interface and linkages.

NISM is currently operating from a state-of-the-art campus on a 70-acre plot of land at Patalganga, about 60 KMs from the Mumbai airport on Mumbai-Pune Express Highway.

I). Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager/ Manager – General Stream

Functions and responsibilities

The indicative job responsibilities for the aforesaid positions shall be as under:

1. Supporting the conduct of long term and short-term programs and courses including data science program.

2. Supporting the conduct of various training and capacity building programs (MDPs) by ensuring timely co- ordination with clients/regulators.

3. Preparing program schedule, structure, budget etc in consultation with Reporting Officer.

4. Supporting the faculties and program directors in internal assessments and other program related activities.

5. Providing assistance in the development, delivery and execution of online courses on e-learning platform and help promote investor education.

6. Organizing various webinars, workshops etc by engaging and networking with investors/ industry professionals via digital and offline platforms.

7. Invigilating the exams, Vigilance and quality checking through video post examination.

8. Ensuring timely conduct of certification examination and declaration of results, issuance of grade sheets /certificates to candidates after proper verification.

9. Conducting programs related to Continuing Professional Education (CPE) including maintaining liaison with the CPE providers and empanelment of trainers.

Required Skill Set:

– Candidates with knowledge in data science and/or legal terminologies will be preferred

– Experience in educational/ training administration including management of e-learning programs/ certification programs/other educational programs shall be preferred.

– Proficiency in MS office and knowledge of use of Social media, Web content Management System.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

– Good Analytic Ability.

II). Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager/ Manager – (Examination Development)

Functions and responsibilities

1. Developing and conducting Periodic Review of Certification/ CPE / other online Examinations (Workbook & Question Bank).

2. Constituting examination committees and conducting meetings

3. Hosting and managing third party examinations

4. Helping in designing and development of instructional materials for e- learning courses and programs.

5. Interacting regularly with Resource Persons / Subject Matter Experts on content creation and reviews.

6. Developing various Skill Development Modules

7. Implementing e- learning strategies and ensuring high quality online courses.

8. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the course/examination content.

Required Skill Set:

– Experience in educational/ training administration shall be preferred.

– Ability to search and analyze information.

– Proficiency in MS office and knowledge of use of Social media, Web content Management System.

– Excellent written communication skills.

– Good Analytical skills

III). Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager/ Manager – (Controller of examinations and Admissions)

Functions and responsibilities

1. Planning, Scheduling and organization of examinations in compliance with institutional policies and procedures to conduct examinations.

2. Scheduling and Conducting Mid-term and End-term examinations, programs, tests in offline as well as online mode including arrangement of invigilators etc

3. Co-ordinating with faculties, program directors for smooth conduct of examinations

4. Monitoring Invigilation duties and managing record of results and examination answer books with respective class information.

5. Issuing transcripts for the institute’s long terms educational programs and maintaining all examination related MIS.

6. Handling the students’ admission process for Residential and Online (Live) / Hybrid Programs.

7. Handling pre-admissions activities like preparation of prospectus, sending offer letters to students, handling students’ queries, scheduling and conducting of admission Test/ Interview, collection of fees and other misc activities.

8. Collecting faculty feedback and Reporting, issuing certificates to the students, coordinating convocations/Awards/Scholarships functions etc.

Required Skill Set:

– Experience in handling examination software and results automation/ counselling/ admissions shall be preferred.

– Proficiency in MS office and knowledge of use of Social media, Web content Management System.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

– Good Analytical skills

– Prior administrative experience in educational institute in the area of office automation, counselling, admissions and compliance related matters.

IV). Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager/ Manager (Financial content writing and Instructional Designing)

Functions and responsibilities (Financial content writing)

1. Writing and editing financial content and study materials.

2. Collaborating with subject matter experts and other stake holders for quality content writing.

3. Ensuring accuracy and clarity of the content.

4. Maintaining content calendar

5. Providing training and managing the content team by updating them with latest financial trends.

Required Skill Set:

– Knowledge of financial markets and research skills.

– Exceptional Writing and Editing Knowledge

– Proficiency in MS office and knowledge of use of Social media, Web content Management System.

Functions and responsibilities (Instructional Designing)

1. Analyzing learning needs of the Institution

2. Designing and developing various instructional materials using e-learning authority tools

3. Evaluating and revising instructional content

4. Staying updated with instructional design best practices

Required Skill Set:

– Knowledge in Instructional design and e-learning development

– Knowledge of financial markets and research skills.

– Good analytic and problem-solving ability

– Familiarity with authoring tools.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ALL POSTS:

Minimum Educational Qualification:  Professionals like CA/ ACS/ ICWA/ degree in law or Firstclass Post Graduate Degree or Equivalent in Finance/Securities Markets (includes one-year Post Graduate Diploma course offered by NISM)/Commerce/Economics/ Marketing/Operation/ Retail/ Social Media or any other relevant discipline from a reputed Institute.

Experience: Minimum experience of 3 years preferably in securities market or educational institution.

The selected candidate shall be assigned responsibilities, designation and department commensurate with their qualification and experience.

COMPENSATION:

Depending upon the qualification, college/institutions and experience the candidate’s pay-scale will be fixed at the level between 5-8 of 7th CPC pay matrix with the gross pay starting from Rs.8 Lakhs PA.

Besides, suitable accommodation subject to availability, may be made available at concessional rate at the NISM Campus.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT FOR ALL POSTS:

The selected candidate shall initially be appointed on contract for a term of 3 years, which may further be extended based on performance.

The incumbent will demit the office on attaining the age of 60 years or at the end of the contract period, whichever is earlier. The institute reserves the right to terminate the contract by giving one month’s notice

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Mode of Selection shall be an interaction of the short-listed candidates with a “Selection Committee” constituted for the purpose.

2. The Institute reserves the right to modify the mode of selection, if deemed fit. It also reserves the right to raise the minimum standards in respect of age / qualification / experience, in order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interaction. Thus, merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down in the advertisement as regards age/qualifications/experience would not automatically entitle any candidate to be called for the interaction.

3. The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reasons therefor.

4. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.

5. Candidates shall satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the post applied for. The Institute shall determine their eligibility only at the final stage, i.e., while calling them for interaction.

6. If the candidates are not eligible or have knowingly or willfully furnished incorrect or false particulars or suppressed material information, their candidature will be liable to be rejected at any stage of the selection. If the candidate qualifies in the selection process and subsequently it is found that he/she does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, his/her candidature will be cancelled and, if appointed, the contract would be terminated forthwith without any notice or compensation.

7. The decision of the Institute in all matters would be final and binding, and no correspondence in this regard would be entertained.
