Mr. Deepak Trivedi, is Chief General Manager, Securities and Exchange Board of India, currently on deputation to NISM. He is a fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants and also an IOSCO Certified Assessor on Principles related to the Securities Markets. He had participated in the International Securities Law course offered by the Government Law College.

Mr. Trivedi joined SEBI in 1996 and during his tenure he worked in various departments and handled the work related to Corporate Finance, Intermediaries Registration and Supervision, and International Affairs. He was a key member in handling work related to the establishment of the National Institute of Securities Markets. He worked as Executive Assistant to the Whole Time Member and also handled the Office of the Chief Financial Officer. He was a core team member responsible for drafting guidelines related to the International Financial Services Centre.

Mr. Trivedi handled the work related to the International Advisory Board for SEBI which guided SEBI in bringing an international perspective to the development of Securities Markets. The merger of the Forward Market Commission with the Securities and Exchange Board of India was one of the important challenging tasks co-ordinated by Mr. Trivedi, in his role as Executive Assistant to the Office of Whole Time Member.

Mr. Trivedi represented SEBI on the Accounting Standard Board of ICAI and Committee 4 on Mutual Cooperation of the IOSCO. Mr. Trivedi acted as a catalyst in setting up the SME exchange for the growth and development of MSMEs, exemplifying his unwavering dedication to promoting industry standards and fostering collaboration.
