Refund and rescheduling, change of module policy
for
Certification Examinations and Continuing Professional Education Programmes

Applicability: This policy shall be applicable to certification examinations / remote proctored examinations / CPE programmes / eCPE programmes or any other form of certification from School of Certification of Intermediaries

A. Test Center Based Certification Examinations

1. Fees once paid shall not be refunded except under following circumstances:
a. Candidate’s account /card was debited but the enrollment was not successful
b. In case of multiple deduction of fees from candidate’s account
c. In case NISM or test administrator is not able to offer examination/ CPE programme / e CPE programme for any technical reason and rescheduling is not suitable to a candidate
(*Transaction charges incurred by a candidate shall not be refunded)

2. Reschedule: A candidate can reschedule a scheduled examination on his/her own by logging into NISM’s portal four days prior to the date of a scheduled examination
A candidate may be offered rescheduling of an examination subject to availability of slots only in certain cases such as
a. Significant / prolonged disruption of internet / power at the test center
b. Non-availability of NISM’s examination application due to scheduled or unscheduled maintenance
c. Inability of NISM or test administrator to conduct examination/s because of circumstances like natural disasters, law and order situation etc.
B. Remote Proctored Certification Examinations

1. Fees once paid shall not be refunded except under following circumstances:
a. Candidate’s account/card was debited but the enrollment was not successful
b. In case of multiple deduction of fees from candidate’s account
c. In case NISM is not able to offer examination/ CPE programme / e CPE programme for any technical reason and rescheduling is not suitable to a candidate
(*Transaction charges incurred by a candidate shall not be refunded)

2. Reschedule:
a. A candidate can reschedule a scheduled examination on his / her own by logging into the certification portal four days prior to the date of examination
b. One rescheduling may be offered in case a candidate faces continued disruption of or fluctuations in power , internet at his / her end , provided a candidate approaches NISM within three days post the date of examination
c. A candidate may be offered rescheduling of examination in case of cancellation of examination by NISM on any account

C Classroom based Continuing Professional Educational (CPE) Programmes

1. Fees once paid shall not be refunded except under following circumstances:
a. Candidate’s account/card was debited but the enrollment was not successful
b. In case of multiple deduction of fees from candidate’s account
c. In case NISM is not able to offer CPE programme for any technical reason and rescheduling is not suitable to a candidate
(*Transaction charges incurred by a candidate shall not be refunded)

2. Reschedule :
a. A candidate can reschedule an enrollment for a CPE programme on his/her own four days prior to the date of a CPE programme by logging into NISM Certification Portal
b. A candidate may be offered rescheduling of enrollment for a CPE programme in case of
i. Inability of NISM or CPE service provider to conduct a CPE programme because of circumstances like natural disasters, law and order situation etc.,
ii. Cancellation of a CPE programme by NISM or a CPE service provider

D Online Continuing Professional Educational (eCPE) Programmes

1. Fees once paid shall not be refunded except under following circumstances:
a. Candidate’s account/card was debited but the enrollment was not successful
b. In case of multiple deduction of fees from candidate’s account
c. In case NISM is not able to offer eCPE programme for any technical reason and rescheduling is not suitable to a candidate
(*Transaction charges incurred by a candidate shall not be refunded)

2. Reschedule :
a. A candidate can reschedule an enrollment for an eCPE course on his/her own four days prior to the date of the scheduled eCPE course by logging into NISM Certification Portal
b. One time reschedule of eCPE course may be offered in case a candidate faces continued disruption of or fluctuations in power, internet at his / her end, provided candidate places a request with NISM within three days from the date of eCPE session. In case the candidate fails to send such request to NISM within the stipulated 3 days, no reschedule or refund shall be provided.
c. A candidate may be offered rescheduling of enrollment for an eCPE programme in case of Cancellation of an eCPE programme / sessions by NISM on any account

3. Limitation on rescheduling: Rescheduling of examination / CPE programme / eCPE programme shall be limited to two instances.

4. Change of examination module: If a candidate enrolls for a module for examination / CPE or eCPE and wants to change the module, a request for such a change shall not be accommodated. Candidates need to choose the module carefully.

5. Forfeiture of fees: If a candidate does not attend examination (test center based or remote proctored), CPE programme / eCPE programme on the scheduled date and time of examination / CPE programme / eCPE programme, the fees paid by the candidate shall be forfeited, subject to the above. Any claim for refund or request for rescheduling will not be entertained.
