The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), a capacity-building initiative of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), conducts various long-term academic programs in the areas of securities markets, finance, investments, and related disciplines.
Upon successful completion of its academic programmes, NISM awards students relevant Grade Sheets, Transcripts, and Certificates as applicable to the programme.
NISM receives requests from employers, educational institutions, background verification agencies, government and other authorized organizations, and individuals seeking verification of educational qualifications awarded by the Institute.
To make the process more efficient, transparent, and convenient, NISM has introduced an online educational qualification verification request facility. The online mechanism enables authorized organizations and individuals to submit verification requests electronically and facilitates systematic processing by the Controller of Examinations (CoE) Unit.
An educational qualification verification request may be submitted by:
Employers and prospective employers
Educational institutions and universities
Background verification agencies
Government and regulatory organizations
Other authorized organizations or institutions
Individuals, where applicable, for verification of their academic credentials
The verification request should contain accurate details and supporting information required by NISM to identify and verify the relevant academic record.
The online verification process is designed to simplify the submission and processing of requests.
Step 1: Submit the Online Request
The requesting organization or individual is required to provide the necessary details of the qualification, student, programme, and other information required for verification through the online request form.
Step 2: Pay the Verification Fee
A verification fee of ₹500 (Rupees Five Hundred only) plus applicable taxes is payable for each educational qualification verification request.
Step 3: Request Forwarded for Verification
After successful submission and payment, the verification request is electronically forwarded to the Controller of Examinations (CoE) Unit, NISM for verification and processing.
Step 4: Verification of Academic Records
The CoE Unit verifies the information provided in the request against the academic records maintained by NISM.
Step 5: Verification Response
Upon completion of the verification process, NISM will issue the verification response through the official email ID provided in the request.
The verification response is generally issued within 2–3 working days from receipt of the verification email by the CoE Unit after successful payment and submission of the request.
A separate verification request and fee is applicable for each educational qualification to be verified.
The verification fee of ₹500 is exclusive of applicable taxes.
Requesters should ensure that all information submitted in the online form is accurate and complete.
Verification requests will be processed only after successful submission and payment.
The verification response will be communicated through the official email ID provided by the requester.
NISM may seek additional information or supporting documents, wherever required, to complete the verification process.
The online verification facility is intended for legitimate educational qualification verification purposes by authorized requesters.
Organizations and individuals requiring verification of educational qualifications awarded by NISM can submit their request through the online verification facility.
What is educational qualification verification at NISM?
