Launch of NISM-IFSCA-02A: Certification Course on Cyber Security and Cyber Resilience in the GIFT IFSC (Basic) w.e.f. November 18, 2026

The examination seeks to establish a common minimum knowledge benchmark for IFSCA Officers and all the employees of Regulated Entities (REs) operating in the IFSC ecosystem, while also providing an opportunity for individuals outside Regulated Entities who are interested in enhancing their understanding of cyber security and cyber resilience. It aims to strengthen cyber security and cyber resilience capabilities by enhancing awareness of key principles, promoting effective risk management practices, and fostering an understanding of the regulatory requirements and expectations applicable to entities operating in the GIFT IFSC.

Examination Objectives
On successful completion of the examination, the candidate should:

  • Gain a foundational understanding of cyber security, cyber resilience, and the evolving cyber threat landscape.

  • Understand the role of governance, risk management, and security architecture in building effective cyber security programs.

  • Develop knowledge of key cyber security domains, including asset management, access management, third-party risk management, physical security, application security, data security, and vulnerability management.

  • Recognize the importance of security awareness, cyber hygiene, and a strong security culture in managing cyber risks.

  • Develop familiarity with cyber incident detection, response, recovery, and resilience

  • Gain awareness of the cyber security regulatory requirements applicable to entities operating in GIFT IFSC.

  • Gain insights into emerging technologies and evolving cyber security challenges, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and related developments.

Assessment Structure

  • The examination consists of 50 questions of 1 mark each and should be completed in 1 hour.

  • The passing percentage for the examination is 50 percent (25 marks).
