The 80th Independence Day Celebration 2026 was organized at the NISM Campus, Patalganga, on 15 August 2026. The programme commenced with the arrival and assembling of guests and students, followed by the arrival of the Chief Guest, Shri. Sashi Krishnan, Director, NISM. The celebrations included the ceremonial guard reporting and general salute, flag hoisting ceremony, Rashtriya Salute, National Song and National Anthem, followed by an address by the Chief Guest. The programme further included the Guard Reporting and March Past, followed by the announcement and distribution of prizes/awards to students and staff members.
