About NISM Ideathon
NISM Ideathon is part of NISM’s advocacy efforts to enhance financial literacy, investor education, and increase public engagement in India’s securities market.
Objective of NISM Ideathon
- Promote safe digital financial behavior.
- Enhance investor awareness by decoding cyber threats that mislead or could mislead investors.
- Encourage informed and secure digital engagement in financial markets.
- Cybersecurity and investor protection.
NISM Ideathon Format
- Case study–based approach (real or hypothetical).
- Final deliverables:
- Project Report: Detailed report of around 15–20 pages.
- Presentation: Detailed deck of around 10 slides.
Note: The abstract should have two parts summarizing—(a) the case and (b) summary of solutions.
a. The proposal should clearly define the idea; b. It should be mentioned whether the case is hypothetical or real; c. The source of the case should be specified. |
Student Deliverables
- Case analysis of a cyber fraud incident with root cause evaluation.
- Actionable insights and takeaways to:
- Warn investors of red flags and digital risks.
- Promote responsible digital investing.
- Prevent future fraud.
- To be delivered in the format of a detailed project report and presentation.
- Please ensure that all illustrations and content are aligned with an Indian theme. Avoid global references or imagery that may not resonate with the Indian context. Keep the presentation simple and relatable for wider appeal.
Eligibility
- Open to currently enrolled students from all interested institutes (UG and PG)
- Each team is to ideally have a faculty mentor (not compulsory)
- Team Maximum up to 4 students
- Team Minimum: 2 students
