Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Securities Markets

NISM’s Entrepreneurship Cell was established in November, 2020. A freshman orientation session was conducted by Mr. Biharilal Deora to introduce the E-Cell to our college students. He also held an informative session on entrepreneurship activities in the field of securities markets.

A speaker session on the topic “Is College the Right Time to Start-Up” which was conducted by our very own alumni, Pranjal Kamra. He is the CEO and founder of Finology Ventures, a successful start-up in the financial sector. During the session, Pranjal shared his personal experiences and insights on starting a business while still in college. He emphasized the importance of taking risks, learning from failures, and having a strong support system. The session was well-received by the students and inspired many to consider entrepreneurship as a career option.

An intriguing session on entrepreneurship opportunities in algo trading, which was conducted by Mr. Hrishabh Sanghvi. He shared his valuable insights on the growing significance of algorithmic trading in financial markets and how it can create lucrative entrepreneurial opportunities for aspiring traders. Mr. Sanghvi discussed the technical aspects of algo trading, including the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence, to develop profitable trading strategies. The session was interactive, and students were encouraged to ask questions and clarify their doubts. Overall, the session was informative and inspiring, and it opened up new avenues of career opportunities for the students.

Entrepreneurship cell hosted its first Idea Premier League competition, which turned out to be a huge success. The competition aimed to encourage students to come up with innovative startup ideas and showcase their entrepreneurial skills. The participants were provided with a platform to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges comprised of experienced entrepreneurs and investors. The ideas presented by the students were outstanding and ranged from healthcare to technology-based solutions. The judges were impressed by the creativity, feasibility, and market potential of the ideas presented. The competition was a great learning experience for the students, and it instilled in them the confidence and motivation to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
