The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

The online Basic Excel Training for SEBI officers was held on February 4 & 11, 2022.

Mr. Dhiren Gokani, Manager, NISM was the resource person for the sessions. The programme was appropriated divided into two sessions for two different batches.

On February 4,2022 elementary aspects including Getting started with Excel, routine functions, formatting, database management etc were covered and on February 11,2022 aspects like advanced functions, reports, usage of charts, presentation of data and how to use macros were covered.

The sessions were engaged by sharing practical examples and exercises. The queries raised by the participants were appropriately responded.
