(NISM)

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

A two days programme was held at Bhubaneswar Feb 5th -6th, 2015 on ‘Careers in Securities Market’ by BSE ltd in association with NISM .

The First programme took place in Prof. Surykanta Das Memorial Auditorium, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar on Feb 5th, 2015 at 2.30 PM Shri Prabodha Kumar Hota, Head, Department of Commerce was the organizer of the Programme Inaugurated by – Shri A K Das, Vice- Chancellor, Utkal University.

· Shri Purushottam Saraf, Regional Head, Eastern Region, BSE Ltd – Topic covered – Working of securities market

· Shri J P Garg, Registrar, NISM –key note address- on “Careers in Securities Market”

· Shri Nikhil Shinde – enlightened the gathering about NISM Certification modules and plethora of courses provided by NISM.

More than 150 students from Commerce, MFC, MBA, PMIR background participated in the seminar

The Second programme took place in Auditorium of the KIIT University, Bhubaneswar on Feb 6th, 2015 at 10.30 AM Shri Yogendra Behera, Professor, KSOM was the organizer of the Programme Inaugurated by – Shri A K Das, Vice- Chancellor, Utkal University.

· Shri Dillip Khuntia, Executive, BSE Ltd- Topic Covered – Working of securities market

· Shri J P Garg, Registrar, NISM –key note address- on ‘Careers in Securities Market’

· Shri Nikhil Shinde – enlightened the gathering about NISM Certification modules and plethora of courses provided by NISM

More than 200 students from MBA background participated in the seminar.
