The first cohort of the Post Graduate Certification in FinTech was virtually inaugurated on 12th July 2025 by Shri Sashi Krishnan, Director -NISM), Shri Abhilash Misra, CEO- NSE Academy, along with other distinguished dignitaries and faculty members from both NISM and NSE Academy.

This 10-month live online weekend program, jointly offered by National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) and NSE Academy, is designed to equip participants with advanced technological skills applicable across the banking, financial services, insurance (BFSI), IT/ITES, and allied sectors. The curriculum includes interactive live sessions with industry experts, hands-on learning components, a capstone project, and a campus immersion at NISM.

The inaugural batch consists of 35 diverse participants, ranging from recent graduates to seasoned professionals with over 20 years of experience, and includes individuals from sectors such as banking, mutual funds, insurance, information technology, and other allied domains—highlighting the program’s wide appeal and industry relevance.

During the inaugural address, Shri Sashi Krishnan, Director NISM spoke about the transformative role of fintech in today’s financial ecosystem and emphasized the importance of such specialized programs to address the evolving talent needs. Shri Abhilash Misra, CEO of NSE Academy discussed emerging industry trends, the growing demand for fintech expertise, and the imperative of continual skill enhancement.

Dr. Rachana Baid, Dean–Academics, NISM acknowledged the combined strengths of NISM and NSE Academy, emphasizing how their collaboration enriches the program with a balance of academic rigor and practical insight. Dr. Kirti Arekar, Professor & Programme Director- NISM provided an overview of the program structure, learning methodology, and curriculum. The session also included the introduction of faculty members and industry speakers to the participants.

The dignitaries collectively welcomed the first cohort and extended their best wishes to all participants as they begin this transformative educational journey in fintech.
