An induction program for newly recruited management trainees of Kotak Securities Limited was conducted at NISM – Patalganga Campus from 10th June, 2019 to 21st June 2019 in which 40 candidates participated.

The program consisted of the following:

1. Inaugral Session

The inaugural session was conducted on 10th June 2019 at 10.00 am in the presence of Dr. (Mrs.) M. Thenmozhi, (Director, NISM); Mr. Arnab De Sarkar, (HRD, Kotak Securities Limited,) Prof., K Sukumaran, (Dean-SSE, NISM), Mr. Sunku Venugopal, (Faculty, NISM).

2. Classroom Sessions

25 classroom sessions were conducted by eminent resource persons (internal and guest) on myriad topics such as Introduction to Securities Markets and Role of Market Intermediaries; Equity Cash Market – KYC Compliance; Quiz on Business Standard paper; Financial Statement Analysis; Introduction to Other Investment Products – PMS, Bonds, Gold; Economic Analysis using CMIE Prowess; Economic Analysis using Bloomberg; Introduction to Derivatives (Futures & Options); Book Review / Film Review and case studies, etc.

3. Simulation Lab Sessions:

During the program 2 simulation lab sessions were conducted by Mr. Pradiptarathi Panda, Faculty, NISM. These sessions gave hands on training to the participants of placing orders in the equity market and F&O segment.

4. Workshops/Activities

Several activities based learning, training on team building and outbound sessions were conducted by HR team of Kotak Securities Limited during the program.

5. Certification Exam

Two mandatory NISM certification exams were also conducted during the training program.

6. Convocation

The program was concluded in the presence of Dr. (Mrs.) M. Thenmozhi, (Director, NISM); Prof. K Sukumaran, (Dean-SSE, NISM) and Mr. Sunku Venugopal, (Faculty, NISM).

From Kotak Securities Limited, Ms. Manjeet Dhillon (SVP and Head of HR); Mr. Suresh Shukla (Executive Vice President and Head of Branch Broking Business) and Mr. Sandeep Chordia (Executive Vice President and Head of Alternate Channel business, Strategy and Research) were also present.

All the participants were awarded with a Certificate of Participation.
