MoU-NISM and MNLU, December 30, 2019

National Institute of Securities Market (NISM) and Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 30, 2019 to conduct collaborative activities in the area of Financial Market Regulations, Securities Laws, Investment Laws, Corporate Governance, Cyber Crime, Forensics and related areas. In the academic year 2020-21 NISM and MNLU will launch a one year LLM program in securities market.
The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), established by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) the market regulator, registered as a Trust and Society under the provision of Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, 1950 and Societies Registration Act, 1860 respectively. One of the main objective of NISM is to enhance capacity building and improve the quality of participation in the securities markets through education, certification, research and training initiatives.
The Maharashtra National Law University established under “The Maharashtra National Law University Act, 2014” passed by Maharashtra Legislature under the Maharashtra Act No VI of 2014. One of the main objectives of MNLU is to ‘bring legal education on par with other professional courses’.
