The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

MoU-NISM and MSE

National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MSE Institute of Capital Markets (affiliated to Madras Enterprises Ltd. – Formerly Madras Stock Exchange Ltd.), Chennai. This MoU calls for collaboration in certification programmes, training activities, financial literacy and investor awareness programmes and various other capacity building programmes in the domain of securities / financial markets. The MoU was signed by Dr. (Mrs.) M Thenmozhi (Director, NISM) and Mr. V Nagappan (Advisor, MSE Institute of Capital Markets), in the presence of Mr. S Gnanavel (Director, Madras Enterprises Ltd.) and Mr. MV Swaminathan (Compliance Officer, MSE Financial Services Ltd.) in Chennai on 4th March 2019 at 11 a.m. The MoU is to be in operation for a period of three years, with the further extension to be mutually decided by NISM and MSE Institute of Capital Markets.
