The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

Mumbai, January 1, 2026: The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), has announced the launch of NISM–SEBI National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ) 2026.

NFLQ 2026 is part of NISM’s broader advocacy efforts to strengthen financial literacy among young learners. The initiative is aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students and is designed to spread awareness about financial markets. It seeks to empower students with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions as they step into the financial world. By engaging with young learners through initiatives such as the NFLQ, NISM and SEBI are striving to nurture a more informed, confident and responsible generation.

The College Round of NFLQ 2026 has now commenced and colleges offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs across the country are invited to associate with us for this initiative. Participation in the College round is mandatory for progression to regional and national rounds.

Interested colleges may contact 7305844844 or nflq@nism.ac.in to list their colleges and participate in College Round.

Students are encouraged to take the online round which serves as an introductory stage and helps familiarize them with the quiz format. https://nflq.nism.ac.in/

The NFLQ Competition will progress from the College round to Regional Rounds across six regions—East, West, North, South, Central, and North-East—culminating in the National Grand Finale at the NISM campus, Patalganga, Navi Mumbai

NFLQ 2026 offers attractive prizes and recognition including prizes worth upto Rs. 15 lakh at the College Round level, awards for top performers at the regional rounds and cash prizes at the National Grand Finale. Separate categories are maintained for undergraduate and post graduate students.

Colleges and students are encouraged to participate and be part of this nationwide financial literacy movement.
