The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

Mumbai, November 10, 2025: The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), announced successful completion of the NISM–SEBI National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ) 2025 Grand Finale, held at the NISM Campus, Patalganga, on November 8–9, 2025. The event brought together students from across the country, providing a platform to demonstrate their financial knowledge and awareness.

This year, around 2,50,000 students from all over India, participated in the online quiz and thereafter, the quiz was being held at six regions. The NFLQ 2025 journey began with the Eastern Regional Round in Kolkata on June 21–22, 2025, followed by the Southern Round in Bengaluru on July 5–6. The Northern Round was held in Gurugram on July 26–27, the Central Round in Indore on August 16–17, the North-Eastern Round in Guwahati on August 30–31, and the Western Round in Ahmedabad on September 13–14, 2025. Around 600 teams comprising approximately 1200 students competed in the regional rounds. From these, 240 teams qualified for the Grand Finale.

NFLQ 2025 is part of NISM’s broader advocacy efforts to strengthen financial literacy among young learners. The initiative is aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students and is designed to spread awareness about financial markets, investor rights, and the role of market intermediaries. It seeks to empower students with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions as they step into the financial world.

The Award Ceremony was held on November 9, 2025, where the winners were felicitated by Shri Tuhin Kanta Pandey, Chairman, SEBI and NISM and Shri Sashi Krishnan, Director, NISM.

  • 3rd Prize – Rs. 60,000/- Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM – Indore)


Postgraduate Category:

  • 1st Prize – Rs. 1,50,000/- International Management Institute – New Delhi
  • 2nd Prize – Rs. 1,00,000/- /- Indian Institute of Management (IIM-Shillong) – Shillong
  • 3rd Prize – Rs. 60,000/- ICFAI Business School, Kolkata
