The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

NISM has conducted a One-day Programme on “Exposure to Securities Markets of India” for NIFM Participants at NISM Bhavan, Vashi on January 14, 2019. A total 30 of participants and Prof. K. P. Kaushik, Faculty of NIFM (course-in-charge) have attended the Programme. The participants were pursuing PGDM-FM at NIFM and mainly were various senior government officials and defense personnel.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. (Mrs.) Mr. Thenmozhi, Director, NISM. The welcome address was given by Mr. Jitendra Kumar, Programme Director, NISM.

There were 4 sessions – 2 classroom sessions and 2 session on Trading in Simulated Environment at NISM Finance Lab. The classroom sessions of Evolution of Indian Securities Markets & Regulations taken by Mr. Jitendra Kumar, Member of Faculty, NISM and Surveillance & Investigation at SEBI and Case Laws taken by Mr. Sunil Kadam, Registrar, NISM. Sessions of Trading in Simulated Environment were conducted by Dr. Latha Chari and Team.

All participants were awarded with the Certificate of Participation by Dr. (Mrs.) Mr. Thenmozhi, Director, NISM. The training program was liked and appreciated by all participants.
