The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

Introduction-to-Securities-Markets-and-Financial-Planning

Programme on ‘Introduction to Securities Markets and Financial Planning’ for the senior officers of Defence Services was held on December 15, 2016 at NISM Bhavan, Navi Mumbai. The group had officers from three Defence service of the rank including Brigadier, Colonel, Group Captain, Captain and Sergeant Captain.

The prime objective of the programme was to make participants understand the basic concepts, processes and regulations of Securities Markets & importance of financial planning

The programme got inaugurated in the hands of Shri Sandip Ghose, Director, NISM wherein he placed an emphasis on the need of training and upgradation. He also emphasized on developing personal branding while discussing about Skills of 21st Century. Shri Sahil Malik, Faculty, NISM gave an overview of Securities Markets. Shri HrudaRanjanSahoo, Faculty, NISM shared the understanding on Investing in Securities Markets through Mutual Funds.
