The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

Training Programme on FIS

The Training Programme on ‘Fixed Income Securities’ was held during February 12-13, 2015 at NISM Premises, Navi Mumbai for the benefit of Market Participants from various part of India.

The prime objective of workshop was to make participants aware and update on the basic concepts, product, processes and regulations of Fixed Income Securities.

The topics discussed include Introduction to Fixed Income Securities, Investments in Fixed Income Securities – Risks and Rewards, Securitized Debt, Fixed Income Derivatives and CDS, Indian Debt Market – Issues, Challenges and Opportunities, Retail Participation in Fixed Income Securities, Analysis of Fixed Income Securities, A Case Study on Sovereign Debt Crisis, Pricing and Valuation of Fixed Income Securities, Global Macro Economy and its impact on Indian Financial Market, etc.

The Speakers were the persons of eminence including Senior Professionals having experience of handling key positions in Financial Markets.

The programme got inaugurated in the hands of Shri Sandip Ghose, Director, NISM and Valedictory address was delivered by Shri G. P. Garg, Registrar, NISM.
