(NISM)

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

In August 2025, NISM concluded four study tours of varied durations at its Patalganga campus. These included 3 Half-Day Study Tours and one 3-Day Residential Study Tour, providing participants with an in-depth understanding of the securities markets through expert-driven sessions and interactive hands-on sessions in a simulated environment .

Programme Overview:

  • 5 August 2025 – A half-day study tour was conducted for Patkar Varde College with a total of 98 participants (94 students & 4 faculty members).
  • 14 August 2025 – A half-day study tour was conducted for Thakur College of Science & Commerce with a total of 51 participants (49 students & 2 faculty members).
  • 20-22 August 2025 – A three-day residential study tour was organized for St. Joseph’s College of Engineering with a total of 32 participants (30 students and 2 faculty members), including a visit to Market Infrastructure Institution (MII).
  • 25 August 2025 – A half-day study tour was organized for Ramsheth Thakur College of Commerce & Science, Kharghar with around 92 participants (88 students & 4 faculty members).
