The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

NISM at the instance of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) conducted a One Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) at Central Agricultural University Imphal, on May 6th, 2022.

The broad objective of the FDP was to sensitize the faculty members about the commodity derivative markets and its economic benefits including farmers’ participation. Shri Vikas S S, Deputy General Manager, SEBI graced the program and Dr V Shunmugam, Consultant, NISM was the resource person.
