    National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) invites applications for shortlisting of agencies for hiring of cars for various usage of NISM. The estimated cost of the work is Rs. 40 Lakh per annum.

    For the purpose of movement of its staff, guest, students and support staff, NISM intends to shortlist eligible agencies for hiring of cars for various usage (onmonthly as well as day to day basis).

    EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR UPGRADING THE EXISTING HOSTING PLATFORM AT NISM CAMPUS, PATALGANGA

    National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust, an educational initiative of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) with the objective of enhancing the quality of securities market in the country through knowledge-based interventions. The institute therefore conducts a number of educational and certification programs for Securities Market professionals and also various financial literacy initiatives for investors from all walks of life. National Institute of Securities Markets has a campus on 70 Acres of land at Patalganga, a location around 40 kilometers away from Vashi on Mumbai-Pune highway.

    Currently, NISM has deployed three physical servers and two SAN storage devices. In these three servers two servers are used as VMWare ESXI host server and one server is used as backup storage. The VMWare ESXI host servers are connected with SAN storage through Fiber Channel. These servers and SAN storage are installed in NISM Data Center at Patalganga. NISM intends to upgrade the said hardware.

    This document is inviting the expression of interest (EOI) to shortlist the companies for Upgrading the existing Hosting Platform (Server & SAN) at the Data Center, NISM Campus, Patalganga. NISM intends to increase the size of Core CPU, RAM, VMWare Licenses and Storage in the above mentioned hosting platform.

    Request for Quotations For of Warranty of Dell Servers

    National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) with the objective of enhancing the quality of securities market in the country through knowledge-based interventions. The institute therefore conducts a number of educational programs for Securities Market professionals and also various financial literacy initiatives for investors from all walks of life.

    NISM has hosted a few public facing applications on its primary servers in the data centre located in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. The data centre is owned by Sify. Currently the hosting architecture comprises of two application servers and a database server. The two application servers host exact replica of the application to ensure high availability. All the said servers are Dell servers. Furthermore, all 3 servers are connected to a SAN. NISM has its disaster recovery site at Bengaluru. The disaster recovery (DR) site consists of two servers – one server to host the application and the other server to host the database. Both the servers are Dell servers.

    NISM intends to extend the warranty of the two application servers at the primary site and the two servers at DR site.

    National Institute of Securities and Markets (NISM) is offering three floors (GF, 2nd and 4th floor) in NISM Bhavan, Plot no. 82, Sector 17, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, each floor having built-up area of 6,200 sq.ft. (as per the records of Adhoc Committee and purchase agreement) on Leave and License basis on ‘as is where is’ basis. Till recently, these spaces were being used for conducting various activities of NISM and have fallen vacant due to NISM moving various operations to its campus at Patalganga, Distt. Raigad, Maharashtra.

    The interested eligible agencies may submit their bid for one, two or all the three floors depending upon their requirements.

  • Securities Market Regulations – Anti Money Laundering Perspective

    The School for Regulatory Studies & Supervision organised a program on “Securities Market Regulations – Anti Money Laundering Perspective” in February, 2013 that was attended by 42 officers from SEBI and Enforcement Directorate. It was inaugurated by Shri Sunil Sawhney, Special Director, Enforcement Directoratein a function attended by Shri P K Nagpal, then Director, NISM, Shri Samir Bajaj, Joint Director, Enforcement Directorate and Shri K Sukumaran, Dean, SIEFL & SRSS, NISM. Some of the important topics covered in the program were, Regulatory Environment in Securities Market, Regulations under FEMA as relevant to securities market, Foreign Investments by FIIs/QFIs, AML and KYC Issues, etc. The programme came to an end with valedictory session attended by Shri G P Garg, Registrar, NISM.

    National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) in association with Network FP organized a training programme on ‘Train the Trainer’ at NISM Bhavan, Navi Mumbai during May 29-30, 2015.

    The objective of the programme was to train & develop the delivery skills and abilities of the financial advisors who have been empaneled as Personal Finance Experts / Speakers of ‘Financial Wellbeing Camps’. The programme further aimed to help the financial advisors effectively communicate their domain expertise & connect with the audience during various Investor Awareness Programs.

    The topics covered includes Need for Financial Literacy in India & Role of Financial Advisors; Best Practices for Financial Advisors in Conducting IAP Programs; Making IAP Programs Interesting & Engaging for Participants; Panel Discussions–(1) Tools & Resources Required to Conduct a IAP Program Successfully and (2) What Works, What Doesn’t Work in Awareness Programs, etc., Public Speaking Skills for Advisors, experience sharing among participants, etc.

    The programme methodology adopted was interactive sessions, panel discussions, experience sharing and presentations.

    The programme got inaugurated in the hands of Mr. Sandip Ghose, Director, NISM.
