NISM INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR NON TEACHING POSITIONS

National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a premier institute established by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator for securities markets in India. The Institute currently offers two-year Post Graduate Program in Securities Market PGDM (SM) and one-year full-time Post Graduate Certification in Securities Market (PGCSM).

The Institute is also in the process of introducing full time/part time online courses in the area of Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Risk Management, Data Science, Treasury Management, Securities Law, Fin-Tech, Warehousing and logistics Management and other areas relevant to the securities market. Furthermore, the Institute certifies market intermediaries and has recently introduced online remote proctored certification exams. The Institute also conducts capacity building programs among the stakeholders in the securities markets through professional education, financial literacy, enhancing governance standards and fostering policy-based research in Securities Markets.

Currently, NISM is functioning from its state-of-the-art campus on a 70-acre plot of land at Patalganga (around 45 minutes’ drive from Vashi, Navi Mumbai). For more details, please visit NISM’s website www.nism.ac.in.

Applications are invited from interested eligible candidates for the following Non-Teaching posts in its various Schools and Departments as under:

Manager – (Information and Technology) IT

a)Functions and responsibilities:
•Development and implementation of various processes within the IT Department to ensure planned growth, effective operation and maintenance of IT Infrastructure.
• Project Management (Scope, Cost, time, resource, and quality and communication management).
• Design and Development of online applications (particularly using MS SQL Server & Visual Studio development tools)
• Carrying out comprehensive analysis of the functional and non-functional requirements of the various proposed IT application and develop application design alternatives.
• Reviewing of various technical documents, developing the Hosting Platform and the DR Site Specifications (including DR Drill process).
• Developing comprehensive cost estimates of all components/modules of the application, Maintenance & Support Services, Hosting Platform and the DR Site.
• Ensuring timely estimates for development /customization and implementation of the proposed application.
• Contract Management including Procurement and implementation of various IT infrastructure components at Patalganga Campus.
• Ensuring effective implementation of Change Management Process
The above-mentioned job responsibilities are indicative and the candidate may be required to carry out any other IT related responsibility across the various Schools/Departments of the Institute as per requirement.

b) Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification: First class Graduate / First class Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Applications / Information Technology / Electronics / Telecommunication from a reputed Institute.
Candidates with experience of working in financial sector is desirable.
Additional Skill Set:
• Proficient in System Analysis and Design Techniques.
• Strong Technical documentation skills and must be excellent in using MS Word
• Must be highly professional in documenting the Functional and Non-Functional requirements of medium/large scale Applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good Analytic Ability

c) Experience (as on June 21, 2021):
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant post-qualification work experience of which at least 3 years shall be in the post of Assistant Manager or equivalent post. The minimum post qualification work experience shall be 5 years for professional qualification from “A” tier colleges of national repute.
• Candidates with experience in maintaining and supporting medium / large scale public facing applications and IT infrastructure will be preferred.

d) Compensation:
Depending upon the qualifications, college/institutions and experience the candidate’s pay-scale will be fixed at the level between 9-10 with the gross pay between Rs 11.61 to Rs.12.16 Lakhs PA.
Besides, suitable accommodation, subject to availability, can be made available at concessional rate at the NISM Campus.

Assistant Manager- General Stream

a) Functions and responsibilities
The selected candidate shall be assigned responsibilities and department commensurate with their qualification and experience. The indicative job responsibilities for the aforesaid positions shall be as under:
• Building up strategies for Marketing using Digital Marketing and Social media (You Tube, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn etc)
• Developing Marketing Campaigns brochures, flyers, posters and other marketing materials etc
• Keeping the website updated and relevant
• Building academic alliances with colleges and academic partners and Sourcing students and admission related activities
• Performing counselling and career guidance for interested students on various courses and programs offered by the Institute.
• Scheduling of examinations, programs, tests including arrangement of invigilators etc
• Providing assistance in conducting various programs and courses on e-learning platform.
• Monitoring and Assisting in conducting the online remote proctored certification exams.
• Ensuring timely conduct of examination and declaration of results, issuance of certificates to candidates after proper verification
• Conducting programs related to Continuing Professional Education (CPE) including maintaining liaison with the CPE providers and empanelment of trainers
• Assist in the process of accreditation and in conducting quality audits
• Maintaining day to day MIS report as per requirement

b) Eligibility Criteria:
Minimum Qualification for Assistant Manager – General Stream: First class Post Graduate Degree or Equivalent in Finance/ Commerce/ Marketing/ Economics/ Operation/ Retail/ Social Media from a reputed Institute or Chartered Accountant.
Candidates with additional IT knowledge/work experience is desirable.

Additional Skill Set:
• Experience in digital marketing with exposure to educational product development shall be preferred.
• Proficiency in MS office and knowledge of use of Social media, Web content Management System.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good Analytic Ability.

c) Experience:

Fresher’s as well as experienced candidates can apply, however, candidates with experience will be preferred.

d) Compensation:
Depending upon the qualifications, college/institutions and experience the candidate’s pay-scale will be fixed at the level between 5-7 with the gross pay between Rs. 6.65 to Rs. 9.57 Lakhs PA. Candidates qualified from the reputed college/institution will be fixed at a higher pay-scale level.

Assistant Manager – Multimedia and Animation

a) Functions and responsibilities
The selected candidate shall be assigned responsibilities and department commensurate with their qualification and experience. The indicative job responsibilities for the aforesaid positions shall be as under:
• Recording and creation of the videos
• Creating digital images for the purpose of animation
• Transferring audio/video files to be edited and manipulated digitally
• Creating artwork to be used in video
• Creating animated sequences using computer software
• Designing and developing digital animations, imaging, presentations, games, audio and video clips, and Internet applications using multimedia software, tools and utilities, interactive graphics and programming languages
• Building up strategies for Marketing using Digital Marketing and Social media (You Tube, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn etc)
• Assist in developing Marketing Campaigns brochures, flyers, posters and other marketing materials etc
• Providing assistance in conducting various programs and courses on e-learning platform.
• Assisting in creating videos for conducting programs related to Continuing Professional Education (CPE)

b) Minimum Qualification for Assistant Manager – Multimedia and Animation:
At least Second Class Post Graduate Degree Multimedia and Animation from a reputed Institute.
Or
Any Post Graduate qualifications with Diploma in Multimedia and Animation.
Additional Skill Set:
• Artistic talent – artistic ability and a good understanding of color, texture, and light.
• Creativity – ability to think creatively to develop original ideas and make them come to life.
• Communication skills – good communication skills to work as part of a team.
• Computer skills – well versed with various computer programs to do most of their work.
• Time-management skills – ability to manage their time when a deadline approaches.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

The selected candidate shall initially be appointed on contract / deputation for a term of 3 years, which may further be extended based on performance.

The incumbent will demit the office on attaining the age of 60 years or at the end of the contract period, whichever is earlier. The institute reserves the right to terminate the contract by giving one month’s notice.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mode of Selection shall be an interaction of the short-listed candidates with a “Selection Committee” constituted for the purpose. Interaction will mostly be web based however, if called for physical interaction, outstation candidates will be reimbursed ‘Y’ Class Air fare for the to and fro journey, subject to submission of necessary documentary evidence.

2. The Institute reserves the right to modify the mode of selection, if deemed fit. It also reserves the right to raise the minimum standards in respect of age / qualification / experience, in order to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interaction. Thus, merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down in the advertisement as regards age/qualifications/experience would not automatically entitle any candidate to be called for the interaction.

3. The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reasons therefor.

4. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.

5. Candidates shall satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the post applied for. The Institute shall determine their eligibility only at the final stage, i.e., while calling them for interaction.

6. If the candidates are not eligible or have knowingly or willfully furnished incorrect or false particulars or suppressed material information, their candidature will be liable to be rejected at any stage of the selection. If the candidate qualifies in the selection process and subsequently it is found that he/she does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, his/her candidature will be cancelled and, if appointed, the contract would be terminated without any notice or compensation.

7. The decision of the Institute in all matters would be final and binding, and no correspondence in this regard would be entertained.

2. Candidates who are in service of Govt./ Quasi-Govt. organisations/Public Sector Undertakings and applying for the above position on deputation basis, shall route their applications through their employers. They shall also furnish vigilance clearance (major/minor penalties, if any, imposed during last 10 years) and Annual Confidential Reports for last 5 years along with the application.
