Symposium on Cyber Defence - National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM)
(NISM)

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

In today's digital era, the securities market and Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) organisations have become increasingly reliant on technology to deliver financial services characterised by simplified digital payment systems, algorithm-driven trading platforms, secured authentication systems, autonomous settlements solutions, etc. Hence, securing the IT infrastructure is critical not only for business operations but also for safeguarding customer data and meeting regulatory obligations.

As part of SEBI's continuous endeavour to develop organisational expertise across the securities market ecosystem for cyber risk reduction, strengthening of market resilience against cyber incidents and to sharpen cyber incident response capabilities for today's evolving threat landscape, SEBI is organising the 'Symposium on Cyber Defence' from August 17– 21, 2026 in Mumbai, India. The symposium would provide hands-on experience to the participants through classroom session, role play during Tabletop exercise and real-time simulation experience using Cyber Range platform.
