The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

Mr. Dashrath Gavade brings with him over 31 years of comprehensive experience in city infrastructure development, mass housing construction, and general administrative services.

He holds a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Mumbai and has successfully completed the Post Graduate Program in Infrastructure Development and Management from NICMAR, Pune.

Mr. Gavade commenced his professional journey with CIDCO, Government of Maharashtra, where he served for 12 years. During his tenure, he made significant contributions to large-scale infrastructure and mass housing development projects of Navi Mumbai. He also possesses experience in the corporate sector, which broadened his perspective on infrastructure execution across both public and private domains.

Since 2010, Mr. Gavade has been an integral part of NISM, leading critical functions within the General Administration Departments. As the Head of the General Services Department (AD-5), he is responsible for overseeing a wide range of operational areas, including campus facility management, catering, transportation, and other key administrative support services. His leadership ensures the efficient functioning of administrative services essential to the smooth conduct of academic and training programs at the Institute.
