(NISM)

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

NISM has conducted a series of programs on Equity Derivatives for sub-brokers and employees of Brokerage firms engaged in the sales, client interface and order execution activities of Equity Derivatives segment. Four such programs were organized during December 2014 to February 2015: one each in Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Patna.

These programs, over the period of two days, covered various aspects of Equity Derivatives such as product knowledge (forwards, futures and options on equities), Option Trading Strategies, Trading, Clearing, Settlement, Risk Management, Regulatory environment, Accounting, Taxation, Sales Practices, Code of Conduct and Investor Protection Measures.
These programs were well received by the participants working as employees and sub-brokers in the derivatives domain of various stock broking firms.
