The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

NISM is conducting a Programme on ‘Overview of Securities Markets’ for Indian Economic Service (IES) Officer – Trainees from July 15 – 26, 2024 at NISM Campus, Patalganga. The programme is aimed at familiarizing these probationers with vital inputs and 360-degree overview on various aspects of the securities markets.

The inaugural event for the Programme was held on June 18, 2024. Shri Sashi Krishnan, Director, NISM addressed the participants and shared his insights about the role of economists and how they have played a crucial role in the Indian Economy over the years.

Seventeen participants are attending the programme.
