The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

The first in the series of Faculty Development Programmes of National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) in collaboration of  Savitribai Phule Pune University(SPPU) was held on Monday December 27, 2021 via the online zoom platform.

Dr. Parag Kalkar, Dean, SPPU welcomed the dignitaries and faculties members of the programme. Dr. Nitin Karmalkar, Vice-Chancellor, SPPU and Dr. CKG Nair, Director, NISM gave the opening remarks and highlighted about the joint partnership between NISM – SPPU and forth coming activities to disseminate knowledge through this initiative.

Prof.(Dr.) Rachana Baid, HOD School of Securities Education, NISM, introduced the topic of the session “An overview of Securities Markets” to the participants and also formally introduced speakers of the session Dr. V. R. Narasimhan, Dean, NISM, and Mr. Ritesh Nandwani, Member of faculty, NISM. Prof. Rachana Baid, briefly explained the course of content and the sub-topics that will be covered during the programme.

Dr. V. R. Narasimhan and Mr. Ritesh Nandwani with their extensive experience in securities market and interactive teaching style have made the session lively and enriching to the participants.

More than 300 faculty members have benefited from the deliberations of Faculty Development Programme.
