As part of the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM)’s ongoing commitment to promoting financial literacy and financial inclusion, the Online Student Development Programme (SDP) Series for students of partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) continued during September 2026. The sessions focused on enhancing students’ financial awareness, investor protection knowledge, understanding of securities markets, and responsible investment decision-making.
During the month, Online SDP 9 to Online SDP 14 covered key areas including financial frauds and cyber threats, safe banking and digital hygiene, fraud reporting and regulatory recourse, securities markets and investment fundamentals, mutual funds, derivatives markets, and capital markets and merchant banking. Through practical examples, real-life cases, simulation-based learning and discussions on market processes and regulatory frameworks, students gained a better understanding of identifying financial risks, protecting themselves against fraud, making informed investment decisions, and navigating various segments of the securities market responsibly.
