The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

Empowering India’s Youth Through Financial Knowledge and Awareness

Mumbai, September 13-14, 2025 –The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), launched the National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ) 2025. Around 2,50,000 students from all over India, participated in the online quiz and thereafter, the quiz is being held at various regions—Eastern, Southern, Northern, Central, Western and North East.

NFLQ 2025 is part of NISM’s broader advocacy efforts to strengthen financial literacy among young learners. The initiative is aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students and is designed to spread awareness about financial markets, investor rights, and the role of market intermediaries. It seeks to empower students with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions as they step into the financial world.

The western regional round of NFLQ was held on September 13-14, 2025 at Nirma University, Ahmedabad. Participants from around 50 undergraduates and 50 post-graduate institutes across western states: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and Rajasthan participated.

Earlier, the North-Eastern regional round was held on August 30-31,2025 at Guwahati; Central regional round was held on August 16-17, 2025 at Indore; the Northern regional round was held at Gurugram on July 26-27,2025; the Southern regional round was held at Bengaluru on July 5-6, 2025 and the Eastern regional round was held at Kolkata on June 21-22, 2025. The six regional rounds were preceded by an online quiz round.

Now, the Grand Finale will be held at the NISM Campus, Patalganga (Maharashtra), on 8th-9th Nov, 2025.

  • 1st Prize – Rs. 40,000/- Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune
  • 2nd Prize – Rs. 30,000/- B.J. Medical College and Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad
  • 3rd Prize – Rs. 20,000/- The LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur

 

Postgraduate Category:

  • 1st Prize – Rs. 40,000/- Gujarat University Department of Computer Science, Ahmedabadti
  • 2nd Prize – Rs. 30,000/- St. Francis Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai
  • 3rd Prize – Rs. 20,000/- Kaveri College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Pune

 

Additionally, the 10 UG colleges from the West Zone qualified to advance to the National Rounds. The list of selected institutions is as follows:[1]
