The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

On 3rd Feb 2017, a guest lecture was organized by Faculty of Management Studies – Institute of Rural Management (FMS-IRM), Jaipur for MBA Finance students. The lecture was guided by Mr. G.P. Garg, Registrar, NISM.

The lecture was conducted on the topic ‘Overview of Securities Market and Career in Securities Market’. He briefed the students about the concepts related to Capital Markets and significance of Capital Market in India. It was an enlightening session as he shared real life experiences and told the students about the role of securities market and need for regulator. He focused on various aspects related to Placement Interviews viz. hard skills and soft skills. It was a learning and interactive session for the students where he answered all the queries put up by the students to their full satisfaction.
