The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

The Training Programme on ‘Financial Statement Analysis’ was held during July 30-31, 2015 at NISM Premises, Vashi, Navi Mumbai for SEBI Officers.

The prime objective of workshop was to ensure that the participants get adequate knowledge and exposure in understanding and examining the financial statements, familiarize with various concepts/terminologies of the Financial Statements, practical insights on the analysis of financial statements through various tools and techniques, etc.

The topics discussed during the session include,Overview of Financial Statement Analysis, Understanding Financial Statements, Regulatory Framework for Financial Reporting, Financial Statement Analysis – ThroughTools and Techniques, Impact of change in Fundamentals on Share Price, Fundamental Analysis of the Company and Valuation Techniques, Financial Statement Analysis- Lender’s Perspective, Strategic Financial Management, etc.

The Speakers were the persons of eminence including Senior Professionals having experience of handling key positions in Financial Accounting and Audit and Faculty members of NISM.

The programme got inaugurated in the hands of Shri G P Garg, Registrar, NISM.
