Convocation Ceremony of  LL.M. (I & SL) 2020 batch

The First Convocation Ceremony of Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai (MNLU,Mumbai) was held on Saturday July 02,2022, at the Maharashtra Judicial Academy, Bhayander (West), Dist. Thane. 41 students of LL.M. (I & SL), 2020 batch (a Post Graduate Programme jointly offered by MNLU, Mumbai and NISM)  received the degree during the convocation. Prof(Dr.) Dilip Ukey, Vice Chancellor, MNLU, Mumbai delivered the welcome address. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dipankar Datta, Chief Justice, Bombay High Court and Pro-Chancellor, MNLU, Mumbai delivered the Pro-Chancellor address. Hon’ble Dr. Justice D Y Chandrachud, Judge, Supreme Court of India, and the Chancellor of MNLU, Mumbai delivered the Convocation address. During his address, Hon’ble Justice highlighted the significance of legal education and how it can be utilized for the social good. He complimented the students for successfully completing various courses from the coveted university and appealed to the convocating graduates to utilize the education in such a way that will be good for the society and nation.

The degree to the students were distributed through the hands of Hon’ble Dr. Justice D Y Chandrachud, Judge, Supreme Court of India, and the Chancellor MNLU, Mumbai, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dipankar Datta, Chief Justice, Bombay High Court and Pro-Chancellor, MNLU, Mumbai, Hon’ble Mrs. Justice B. V. Nagarathna, Judge, Supreme Court, Justice Mr. Nitin Jamdar, Judge, Bombay High Court, Justice Smt. Bharati Dangre, Judge, Bombay High Court, Prof(Dr.) Dilip Ukey, Vice Chancellor, MNLU Mumbai and Prof.(Dr.) Anil G. Variath, Registrar, MNLU, Mumbai.

Ms. Anhita Tiwari received the Gold medal in LL.M. (I & SL) 2020 program.

The convocation was graced by many of the judges from Bombay High court, Vice-Chancellors and senior officials from other Law Universities, Senior officials from the judicial academy, Faculty members from various neighboring institutions, etc.

The program ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Registrar, Prof(Dr.) Anil G Variath.
