The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

Ms.  Uma Shanmukhi Sistla, Managing Director and CEO, SBI-SG Global Securities Services Private Limited visited NISM, Patalganga campus and addressed students and faculty members of NISM on April 06,2023.

During her address, Ms. Shanmukhi elaborated on Custodian business at SBI – Société Générale Securities, and discussed about the various avenues the students can explore in global securities. She also engaged students in an activity of goal setting and emphasized on its importance while growing and moving in life.

During  Q & A, various questions raised by the students were answered in detail, by Ms. Shanmukhi, citing practical examples.
